2012 Gift-away #5

I guess the best way to get over something is to tackle it front on and overpower it. Usually that isn't the best method, nor the one that I prefer to choose, but I suppose it worked long enough to produce this. Heh, funny thing about it. the name of the file is called "7-21 Sketch" and that's because I actually meant to draw Claire in this pose, one of my OCs. Unfortunately her hair became rather difficult and I nearly scrapped it. After uhh.. "finishing" my previous Gift-away, I looked forward to what still remained. These have taken longer than expected, and I wanted to finish em before August. What I found was this interesting Character. I opened SAI and just began doodling her hair in-- to my surprised I liked it, so I continued it. I don't know if I was fully conscious when I finished this image but I don't think it looks half bad. I tried a new background technique (One i rarely use to be honest) of putting the front layer character, larger in the background. It worked really well with her, and I hope the person who requested it enjoys it as well.
