Realism Vs. Anime

I'm going to have to vote for the anime one because while they are both really good I find the realism one to be kinda creepy (I just got done watching horror movies so that may be a part of my reasoning). Also, the realism one seems to be a bit flat around the face. I like the hair style you chose for the realism and I'm not that big of a fan for the anime version hair, maybe if you made the anime hair look like the realism hair, but still in the realm of anime it would look cool. Your shading on the realism stands out more and adds "fullness" to the design, but the shading on the realism seems to be lacking.

I compared the Original Realistic Biwa concept and I like the layout that you started and am a little surprised that you changed her from wearing a skirt to pants. The skirt looks a lot better than the pants, but the overall improvement from the original realism to the new one is really good. I noticed that there is a line right under her sleeve in the original piece. Is that her bra strap?

Finally, I think you did a really good job on both pieces and I look forward to seeing an update on your realism because I think you have a lot of potential to learn as an artist.

Vision-- 3.5; You know what you have to do, but it seems you are still in the experimental stage.

Originality-- 5; You did an amazing job at showing that you can draw/color in both realism and anime.

Technique-- 4; Anime is really good and your attempt at realism is also really good, but I would improve the level shading.

Impact-- 5; Makes me really think about my own style of art and how I want to draw. You did a great job.
